Scope: 2 data managers supporting an NGO’s response to the Covid-19 crisis
Context: A Geneva-based medical NGO extended its usual focus on specific diseases to fight Covid-19 in various emerging countries. The programs to be implemented and their funding requirements were enormous. The NGO called on NIMSwitzerland to provide two specialists in data management for these programs.
The NIMSwitzerland Solution: The pool of managers specialized in NGOs and data management is quite limited. A combination of three managers was selected based on their availability. Facing a very heavy workload, they quickly integrated into a complex organization and rapidly brought under control programs with a scope exceeding one billion CHF.
Result: The NGO fulfilled its mission, expanded beyond its usual programs, and had a significant impact on resolving the Covid-19 crisis in many countries.
