Scope: Stepping in at short notice to lead the technical department of a municipality
Context: A Geneva municipality lost its Technical Manager while undergoing a major transformation: introduction of a tramway, expansion of a school complex, roadworks and fiber optic installation, and preparations for the municipality’s bicentennial.
The NIMSwitzerland Solution: Only an engineer familiar with Swiss SIA architectural standards, experienced in infrastructure project management, and capable of leading a team handling daily road maintenance could meet the challenge. NIMSwitzerland proposed three suitable interim managers within one week.
Result: Continuity of leadership was ensured. The selected manager, an energy expert, generated unexpected savings in addition to those from tender reviews. He tackled projects head-on, leveraging his extensive 30+ years network in construction and engineering to benefit the municipality. The municipal council was relieved, and the mission’s cost was largely offset by the savings achieved.
