Accounting and Sales Administration Manager for an SME

Interim Management | Duration: 6 months followed by recruitment

Scope: Replacement of the accounting and sales administration manager for an SME owned by an investment fund

Mission Description: A Swiss investment fund acquired a service SME in Romandie. The accounting and sales administration functions, previously handled in a makeshift way, needed to mature to ensure business model solidity and effective cash flow management. The role required a quick start within two weeks and proficiency in the ABACUS software.

The NIMSwitzerland Solution: The first proposed manager, experienced in the sector and with ABACUS knowledge, did not convince the client, who was looking for experience and attitudes suited to an SME rather than a large established company. The second manager presented came from the hospitality sector, mastering ABACUS and handling complex payrolls.

Result: After 6 days of handover, the manager took over the processes and delivered the deadlines for the first monthly closing in a discovery mode. Subsequently, he shared his in-depth experience with certain ABACUS modules and streamlined the function to run at 60% capacity while the company considered its mid-term organization. Beyond the immediate takeover urgency, the need was ongoing, which is why NIMSitzerland selected a manager open to recruitment, which was successfully completed.
