Multinational Headquarters Transformation | Duration: 6 months + extension
Scope: HR challenges linked to the transformation of a multinational headquarters
Context: The project required the formation of a Geneva-based team, starting with the implementation of corporate HR standards suitable for both newly hired local employees and relocated expatriates. It also involved preparing onboarding processes and ensuring continuity for corporate functions.
The NIMSwitzerland Solution: Partner Olivier Taburet immediately reached out to an HR manager who had successfully completed several missions with NIMSwitzerland since 2015. She was familiar with the industry and had repeatedly managed both the setup and the wind-down of multinational operations.
Result: The client met only one candidate — the perfect fit for the mission. The assignment began within days and was carried out on a 60% part-time basis for an initial six-month period. The manager coordinated all stakeholders under pressure: lawyers, insurers, top management, cantonal authorities, and service providers. Her toolkit included deep expertise in employment contracts, compensation & benefits, work permits for foreign nationals, and HR compliance. As the organization expanded and onboarding ran smoothly, her mission was extended to support the new CHRO during their transition into the role.
